Rosemary Todd Clough, Director
Rosemary has been teaching, exploring and creating through yoga and creative dance
for over 30 years. A teacher to students of all ages, Rosemary brings a depth of
experience and a playful approach to all of her classes. She holds a BS in Early
Childhood Education from Tufts University, and a Professional Level Kripalu Yoga
Teacher Certification. She is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, a Stott Pilates Teacher,
and an experienced dancer. Rosemary has been on the teaching faculty of colleges,
schools and nationally certified Yoga Teacher Training courses and was elected a
teaching fellow at Harvard University. Rosemary is a mother of five and a grandmother.
Sandy has 20 years classroom teaching experience with an M.Ed. from Lesley University
and is the author of Creating the Peaceable Classroom, conducting workshops on the
topic. She has a private practice in energy medicine working with adults and children
who are on the autistic spectrum as well as those with anxiety and other special
needs. Yoga has been a major part of Sandy’s personal life for thirteen years. She
is a graduate of Rosemary’s first Creative Kids Yoga® teacher training, teaching
in several area preschools and is an Intro to Creative Kids Yoga® trainer, and a
certified 200 hour Kripalu yoga teacher. She brings her experience and heart-centered
approach to teaching to Moving Spirit.
Julie brings her love of children and her passion for yoga into all of her teaching.
She has worked with preschool and special needs children for over 10 years and is
certified to teach Creative Yoga and Movement to children ages 2 - 12. Julie is
also a certified Kripalu yoga teacher and is certified to teach prenatal yoga. Julie
has been practicing yoga for 12 years and continues to explore yoga and movement
together.
Deb is a graduate of Rosemary's 200-hour Creative Kids Yoga® Training
and a certified Classical Yoga Teacher from the Yoga Life Institute of NH (200hrs).
She is continuing her training with Yoga Life's 500hr. certification program. Deb
is a mom of three young children and has over 15 years of experience working as
a teacher, Child Care Director, and Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator.
She holds an M.Ed. in Elementary and Special Education from Rivier College. Deb
creatively combines her love of yoga and books into teaching Yoga Storytime and
Yoga Book Club for children at Moving Spirit.
Sue has practiced yoga for eleven years, and brings to her classes a calm presence
and soothing personality. She strongly believes in the healing power of yoga and
loves to share her passion for yoga with others. Sue became a certified Kripalu
Yoga teacher in 2004 and a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor in 2005. She integrates
Viniyoga, Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and much more into her classes. She
is the mother of three grown children.
Holly is a licensed Kripalu massage therapist and Reiki practitioner in the Usui-Gray
tradition. She integrates massage with other modalities, including gentle stretching
and resynchronization techniques to address chronic tension, pain and inflexibility.
She brings an empathic and authentic awareness of how posture, muscle function,
and emotions affect both physical comfort and ease of moving through daily life.
She holds a BS in Nursing and has worked in a variety of health and wellness settings
with both children and adults since 1984. She is a longtime Kripalu yoga student,
has a personal interest in homeopathy and nutrition, and is a mother of two.
Pat brings her gentle spirit and love of yoga to her students. Pat became a Professional
Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher in 2005, completing a curriculum of anatomy and physiology,
teaching methodology for asana, pranayama, and meditation; yogic philosophy, professional
ethics and CPR training. Pat is a freelance health care writer for the May Institute
and is the mother of two grown children.
Maureen LeGallo has over 15 years of teaching experience in Elementary and Special
Education with an M.Ed. from Keene State College. She is also a graduate of Rosemary’s
first Creative Yoga and Movement teacher training. She has been attending classes
for many years at Moving Spirit. When she is not teaching or dancing, Maureen treasures
spending time with her husband and three young children.
Jennifer has been sharing her knowledge and love of dance for over twenty years.
She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, character, Classical Indian, music and
acting for dancers, choreography, creative dance, and improvisation. She received
her B.S. degree in Dance from Skidmore College, with a minor in Early Childhood
Education. Jennifer has attended seminars at the Dance Institute for Teachers in
Seattle, WA, and the Nutmeg Ballet Teachers' Program in Torrington, CT, and has
completed the Creative Kids Yoga® teacher training. Jennifer opened the
Creative Dance Center in 1995 to provide quality dance education to dancers of all
ages. When she is not teaching, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and
two children.
Cathy started practicing yoga 15 years ago as a stress release. She did her 200-hour
teacher training with Yogafit. She has studied with Peggy Cappy of Yoga for the
Rest of Us with an emphasis on yoga modifications using a chair, and with Gray Kraftsow
with an emphasis on yoga healing for neck, upper back, and shoulders. As a dental
hygienist of 30 years, yoga has helped Cathy to release, relieve, and rejuvenate
her body and to help others do the same.
Joan Talarico has been teaching therapeutic movement and dance for over 25 years.
She combines her background in dance with professional experience as a physical
therapist assistant. Certified in Pilate's through both Physical Mind and Stott,
Joan opened and ran The Studio in Bedford, NH for 7 years where she developed a
unique approach to Pilate's training. In 2007, she completed her certification in
Biosomatics and is continuing her training as a Reiki practitioner. Joan's classes
provide a balanced approach to core stabilization while also improving body awareness
and quality of movement.
Michelle has a creative spirit and loves to be outdoors. As a certified Kripalu
Yoga and Creative Kids Yoga® teacher, she values the healing qualities
of yoga and enjoys working with a diverse student body of all ages and abilities
including children, families, and students with special needs. She provides custom
yoga and dance programs for six local schools and offers regular classes at Moving
Spirit. She is an integral staff member of Creative Kids Yoga® Teacher
Training and first danced with "Ms. Rosemary" when she was five years old. Michelle
facilitates youth programs for Project Adventure in Beverly, MA and holds a BA from
Pomona College.
